Highlight:
Allround Cargo
Allround Cargo Handling has partnered with
Blue
Diamond
since 2002. The family-owned logistic service
provider is located in The Netherlands and allows
Blue
Diamond
to distribute products throughout Europe.
“The relationship between
Blue Diamond
and Allround
Cargo is based on trust. There is a nine hour time
difference between Sacramento and Europe, so we need
to be your eyes and ears on this end,” said Edwin Roos,
owner of the company.
Allround Cargo has been in business for more than
40 years, specializing in food warehousing, mainly dried
fruit and nuts. Roos’ father started the company after
working in logistics and seeing quality being compromised
for quantity. His father believed if he focused on quality
and a specific product group, customers would be loyal to
him. So, he started Allround Cargo and the company has
been investing in product knowledge, quality and skilled
personnel ever since.
“We are glad to hear that we have a well-known name in
the industry,” said Roos, “But we need to live up to the
expectations, so we keep a close eye on our high standards
via our certifications.”
Roos took over the business six years ago, but the focus
remains the same. He continues to invest in new equipment
in both the warehouse and the office, ensuring the highest
quality standards for his customers.
When asked if he had a favorite
Blue Diamond
product
he said, “Everybody here has their own favorite, but the
Smokehouse
is mine.”
Blue Diamond
appreciates the working relationship it
has with Allround Cargo and all of its business partners
who help the cooperative to deliver the benefits of
almonds to the world.
