During the April 12 Almond Board of California board meeting, the Board of Directors approved an annual assessment increase from 3 cents per pound to 4 cents with a limit of three years due to the anticipated increase in almond production by that time. The additional funds will advance the Board’s ability to defend the almond industry’s reputation, promote sustainability as the crop of choice and drive enhanced global promotions to increase consumer demand.
