The Almond Board of California will be hosting “In-The-Orchard” Weed Identification and Management workshops as part of their Educational Sustainability Workshop Series.
Workshops begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude by 1:00 p.m. (lunch complimentary). Speakers include leadership from University of California Cooperative Extension and Almond Board experts discussing the following topics:
Hands-on identification of weeds and implications for management
- Live weed specimen identification activity
Orchard demo and discussion: Weed monitoring and record-keeping
- Orchard tour and discussion around weed monitoring and record-keeping
Using CASP online tools to meet your growing needs
- Nitrogen calculator, mapping, irrigation
